Our Approach

We review the information supplied to understand the proposed structure, activities and services required. Where appropriate, we may facilitate an introduction to a provider whose services appear relevant to the enquiry.

Submission of an enquiry does not guarantee that an introduction will be made, nor does an introduction guarantee that a CSP will accept the engagement. CSPs conduct their own onboarding, due diligence and acceptance decisions.

Proposed business activity
Required company or legal structure
Relevant jurisdictions
Ownership and control structure
Expected level of administration
Accounting and bookkeeping requirements
Tax and VAT support requirements
Banking requirements
Requirement for professional directors
Registered office or registered agent requirements
Trust or fiduciary requirements
Industry-specific experience
Complexity of the proposed arrangement
Estimated annual service budget
Provider appetite and capacity

These factors are not exhaustive. The relevance of each factor will vary depending on the nature of the enquiry.

Regulatory Status

Corporate and trust services in the Isle of Man are regulated activities. Firms providing these services are required to hold the appropriate licence issued by the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority (IOMFSA).

At a high level, a Class 4 licence relates to corporate services and a Class 5 licence relates to trust and fiduciary services. Some providers hold both. Licence categories and conditions are defined under Isle of Man financial services legislation.

The FSA maintains a public register of licensed firms. Prospective clients are encouraged to verify a provider's licence status independently before engaging their services.

Isle of Man FSA Register of Licence Holders

Isle of Man Company Formations is not licensed by the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority because we do not provide regulated corporate or trust services. Any regulated services are provided directly by the CSP ultimately engaged by the client.

There Is No Single "Best" CSP

Isle of Man Company Formations does not publish paid rankings or claim that any one provider is universally the best. Suitability is not universal — it depends on the client's circumstances, required services, proposed activities, jurisdictional exposure, complexity and budget.

What may be an appropriate provider for one enquiry may not be appropriate for another. The objective is to identify providers whose services and experience appear relevant to the particular enquiry, not to rank providers against each other.

CSPs are not categorised by quality or placed in a commercial ranking. No provider purchases a position in the introduction process.

Provider Independence

Isle of Man Trust and Corporate Service Providers are independent professional service firms. An introduction through this platform does not alter their independence or their professional and regulatory obligations.

Each CSP:

  • Conducts its own client acceptance process
  • Determines its own fees and commercial terms
  • Performs its own customer due diligence and AML/CFT checks
  • Decides whether it is willing to accept a client
  • Provides its own terms of business
  • Remains responsible for the regulated services it provides

Isle of Man Company Formations has no involvement in, and takes no responsibility for, a CSP's client acceptance decisions, onboarding process, fee arrangements or the regulated services subsequently provided.

How We Are Paid

Our introduction service is free for prospective clients. Where an introduction results in a successful engagement, Isle of Man Company Formations may receive a referral fee or commission from the Corporate Service Provider. CSPs independently determine their fees, conduct their own due diligence and decide whether to accept an engagement.

No payment by the prospective client is required simply for submitting an enquiry through the platform.

Introductions are considered based on the information provided, the services required and the suitability of the relevant provider.
